Day 303 - Nov 1st, 2008

Well Hello everyone.. It's been a while since I've blogged.. Boy where do I start....
We had a wonderful time at my parent's 50th Wedding
Anniversary.... You can tell by the picture that the event was a huge success.... That's me and my Brother Joe...
My parents look awesome as well....
So where do I start with the reason I started this blogging thing.... My goal on January 1st 2008 was to lose 100 pounds by Dec 31st.. here we are on day 303 and only 62 days left till the end of the year and I am no where near my goal..
So I had to make a new goal and celebrate the 30 pounds that I took of to date...
My new goal is now April of 2009. there is no looking back.. Funny thing exchanging emails with my friend Rosie she mentioned to me that I can't give up.. That I came a long way and that I had accomplished so much.. Why turn back now... You know what Rosie.. you are 100% right.. She's been one of my many supporters who yells at me when I don't blog, or I am ready to run to McDonald's for some fries.. and she always reminds me that I am the one who's asked for that support.. Thanks Rosie...
So here we go.. April 1st 2009 it's only about 150 days away.... That's about 1/2 a pound a day... 10,000 steps a day and limiting my caloric intake to 1200 - 1400 a day.. can I do it... Oh yeah !!!
So on we go... Today Nov 1st 2008 I declare my new goal and here I come 70 pounds more.. ( yeah I will not thing that we have Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years to binge on..) Nope my goal is set and you will see.. I will make it this time around...

Day 280- Oct 9th 2008

Wow, I can't believe it's day 280.. It seems just yesterday that I started to write about where I wanted to be by Dec 31, 2008... Time flies when you are having fun...

Well here I am in sunny California.. Saturday is my parent's 50th Wedding anniversary... One of my goals was to be at least 1/2 way through my weigh loss, but fell shy of that, but have learned a lot.. have gotten incredible advice and support, and that can only mean that it all comes down to lifestyle changes that will make a lasting effect...

As Rosie reminded me the other day... You didn't gain all you weight in one day.. don't expect to lose it that way either.. It takes work and commitment....

I will check back on Monday after a fun fill weekend... Be good...

Day 277 - Oct 6th 2008

Well, well, well... you are probably wondering so did you lose anything this week.. and my answer would have to be.. "Well I really have no idea, you know why I didn't weigh myself and I already had breakfast, so that doesn't count.. will have to wait till tomorrow morning, and then I will update you...

Sorry... Tuesday is another day....

Day 275 - Oct. 4th 2008

Hello everyone... well one week from today it's mom and dad's 50th Wedding Anniversary... All details are in place... even my outfit.. My only regret is that I am not 50 lbs. lighter, but hey from the day I started my new life I have lost a total of 34 pounds. My goal had been to be at about 80 by this time, but with a broken foot for 6 weeks, that did not help....

I know that I had a few hiccups, and I've learn a lot.. One thing that I keep reading over an over is that without exercise.. I will never ever get to my goal, and then I will have to do at least 30 minutes of exercise a day to stay at my goal weight..

So see you can't say I didn't get anything out of it... I have my dear friends who read my blog constantly and ensure that I log my accomplishments and my failures... but so far it has all been a success... and that is due to all the knowledge that I have gotten from these past 10 months...

Well I will weigh myself in the morning, and see how things have gone, but my it is what it is... This week I was under the weather with the flu, and still trying to get over it... we'll see how it goes...
