Day 200 - July 21, 2008

Welcome to DAY 200... - July 21, 2008
Wow can you all believe this... 200 days ... 200 Days ago I made a commitment to change my lifestyle and start living healthier... 30 pounds later I am not where I wish I was, but I am glad I at least got 30 pounds lighter..
This past week, was a little challenging... but at the same time I has some successes.
Successes.
  • Drinking a minimum of 64oz of water a day
  • Walking a minimum of 3000 steps a day
  • Enjoying a healthy breakfast
  • Not eating at least 3 hours before going to bed...

Now all of you know those have been major challenges for me, and I've made them habits... Much of the success has been to keep a daily email journal with Rosie my friend and peer who is also trying to make a change in her lifestyle. We decided to email or goals and at the end of the day share our success and our weaknesses.. So that made me a little more aware of what I was doing...

I am weighing in tomorrow, as last week I did not... and I am looking forward to it... I feel like I made some big strides this week, and I am excited to step on the scale.

So do whatever it takes to make small steps to reach your big goal.. It's the little changes that will last a lifetime... Have a great Monday.. as here in the east we've been going thru a terrible heat wave which has made walking and breathing outside unbearable.. Enjoy !!

Day 192 - July13, 2008

Hello everyone... Sorry I didn't blog on Tuesday... But I did step on the scale, and I was ecstatic that I stayed the same after 6 weeks of not moving... Just goes to show that I did eat properly, but was not able to do the exercise like I wanted too.. But staying the same weight.. Oh thank GOD !!!

So here goes.. Now I have only 5 months left to reach my goal, so what does that mean...Well I need to get back on the band wagon and do what I have to do to reach my goal of 100 less by the end of the year..

My first goal is that I have to start moving.. Yep I need to get back to walking and doing some exercises to build my muscle.... My second goal is to go back to writing in my journal every morsel I put into my mouth..

So there we go... back on track and with a clear vision of my final goal.. 5 months is not that bad.. BUT I WILL BE 100 LESS BY DEC 31st, 2008 !!

Day 186-July 7th, 2008

Hello everyone, hoping everyone had a great 4th of July weekend... Hopefully no one ate too many hamburgers and hot dogs...potato salad, yada, yada, yada.....
Me Nope !!! None of that... Thankfully I was good all weekend..

Actually purchased the batteries for my scale, and I am looking forward to stepping on it tomorrow...
I am walking so much better, so I am looking to start my walking regime again next week... Should be 100% by then...

Purchased a new book this weekend, as you know my goal is to learn as much as I can going thru this new healthy life style goal... The new book is called: " Crack the Fat-Loss Code by Wendy Chant. She actually has a website you can visit and understand how her theory works..

Day 181 - July 2nd 2008

Hello everyone.... Happy 4th of July..... a few days early but none the less hope you all have a great weekend...
Well I know you are all wondering.. so have you jumped on the scale Liz.. and of course the answer is no.. My real reason is that I have been under the weather these last few days.. really very tired.. My arms have been hurting right at the elbow.. Think it has something to do with the crutches and all the force that I put on them for a few weeks... I am feeling a little better today, doctor order some Motrin and not doing any excessive work.. My foot is getting much much better, so with that said today I did a little walking more than I would normally do, and no lie it still hurts as I still have a fracture that is healing little by little, but way better than I was a week ago..
I am looking to go buy the batteries tomorrow for my scale, and then I will jump on to see how that needle has move... I am positive it was down.. I need all of you to think the same...
With that said I will bid goodbye for today, as I am really tired.. enjoy your weekend....
