Hello everyone... weigh in day today... Lost another 3 pounds.. Yippee... I am not down about the 3 pounds as there were 2 days in which I ate some Carbs.. Not much, but I did go over my allotment of 20 grams a day.. But hey a loss is better than a gain.. I know I am losing as my clothes are soooo lose..
So here starts week 4, and I am sticking with it... I got to say this is the first time that I am excited that I am looking forward to sticking with something... Don't let me fool you.. I do would do anything for a slice of pizza, or a bagel with cream cheese or even a plate of roasted potatoes.. But honestly, I can do without it as well. and that in itself is a miracle...
I will continue with my 20 grams of carbs a day, and work on losing at least another 10 - 15 pounds in the next 2 weeks.. Remember I have an engagement on the 11th that I need to look good for... Yep mom & dad's 50th wedding anniversary.. so off I am to make it happen...

Day 255 - Sept. 14, 2008
WOO HOO !!! Lost 10 pounds in my first 14 days of ATKINS !!!!
I am really excited as this for some reason or another I have been able to stick with and really make it work for me... I have been staying within my minimum of 20g of carbs a day.. Getting a little tired of eggs every morning, but then again, better than a bagel with cream cheese....
So next step would be to increase my activity level.. Got to see what I can do to make this happen and start sticking to a regimen... I know walking is the best thing out there and anyone can do it.. but honestly ever since I broke my foot, it has been a little difficult for me to walk a long time.. so I will take it one step at a time...
I was going to jump to Phase 1, but decided to stick it out for another 2 weeks, as I would like to lose at least another 10 - 15 pounds in the next 2 weeks... let's see my parent's anniversary party is less than a month away.. so I need to get down a little more to make it happen.. Adding exercise will make it happen quicker.. I just need to learn to accept that and make the change..
Well I am excited that these first 2 weeks were fun and I am excited that I got thru them.. I am on a new high, and will continue to make it to my goal... 100 less by Dec. 31... See you at the finish line !!!

Day 252 - Sept. 11, 2008
Hello everyone....
Here I am on day 12 of my 14 day induction phase, and it's been going outstanding... I am not going to reveal how many pounds I've lost until Sunday to celebrate my second week total.. But this has been something that I myself am surprise that I have stuck with it... I'm so EXCITED !!
Just wanted to check in and let you all know I am still on track... Oh yeah and by the way 1 month from today is my Parent's 50th Wedding Anniversary. You know what that means.. I need to look GOOD !!!
Enjoy everyone.. will report back on Sunday with my total loss for 2 weeks.....

Day 248 - Sept 7th 2008
Hey hey... Had to share the great news... Lost 6 pounds this week... I am so excited...
Only need to get into that exercises thing... OK I will soon... promise...

Day 247 - Sept. 6, 2008
Well here we are on day 7 of my Atkins Diet... Let me tell you it's great.... I've been sticking to it 100%.. I cant' wait to weigh myself tomorrow, as I want to see what I've lost this week..
Let me share some moments this week that really tested my willpower and how I overcame them.
1) Last Wed. had a long ride into Pennsylvania and stopped at a Starbucks.. ordered my Americano and looked over at the pasty case and all of those pastries were calling out my name. The scones, the muffins, the bars.. you name it and it was calling out " Liz come and get it !!!" Well I stuck to my guns paid for my coffee and then got back into the car and grabbed my Atkins bar from my bag and enjoyed it with my cup of Coffee.... Accomplishment #1
2) Didn't have a chance to grab lunch the other day, so I stopped at McDonald's well could have ordered a #3 or even a #1 ( for those of you who are not McDonald's fanatics that would be a Quarter Pounder with cheese meal or a Big Mac Meal... instead I order a Salad with only lettuce, cheese and some bacon... No chicken which if I did order it, I probably would have ordered with crispy instead of grilled... Well I enjoyed my salad with a bottle of water and got.... Accomplishment #2..
3) Thursday night had a dinner engagement and didn't' know what to order. ( I am salad out) so I ordered a chop steak with steamed broccoli... YUM YUM.... again, no bread, no butter, no dessert.. just a glass of water with dinner.... ..TADA... Accomplishment #3
This weeks challenge will be a meeting I will be attending on Wed.... But I know I have so much support in my friends, that they will be right there to make sure I make the right choices... Right Rosie and Cindy... (Kim we'll see... )
