Day 170 - June 21, 2008

Wow 170 days... Can you believe this... more than 6 months have gone by since I started this new journey into becoming healthy and reaching my goal of losing 100lbs. by Dec 31, 2008...

To start, the doctor finally took of my cast... I am a little soar, but it will get better in a few days.. So I will need to wait a few days before I go back to my normal routine of walking every day...

Recently on the Today Show ( my goal is to be on this show) this lady lost over 242 pounds by just cutting back on calories and walking... walking... walking.... read her inspiring story here...

My goal is to one day have my story there.. and jumping for joy that I reached my goal...
On Friday I got reminders from Dad and Rosie that I have not kept up with my Blog... then I get a call on Saturday from Bill and Ana with the same comments.. OK... OK... I got out of my routine with this foot thing, and I just gave excuses for everything, but as Rosie stated... "You are the one who wrote this blog in order to be held accountable.. " Well that put me right back in my place...

So as I start on a new week, I will weigh myself in on Tuesday morning, prior to my power breakfast with Rosie and Kim.. I will be back on Tuesday to share my success these last 5 weeks, and hey I am positive.. I know I lost weight, so I can't wait to share on Tuesday with all of you...

I just purchased the book which has become my greatest new companion as it yells at me when I go over my caloric intake... The website is full of great resources and tools that you can use.. The tool that calculates the number of steps you need to match any form of exercise is a great tool. Just log on and go to resources and tools. Check it out...
