Hello everyone.. weigh day.. lost 2 pounds this week.. Yeah me !!! (total lost 22.5lbs..) But the only thing I am disappointed in is that I really wanted to be at 30 pounds by now...
I started journaling again all the food I eat which I know is a big help.. I also tuned in to TLC's "I Can Make you Think" with Paul Mckenna.. Really interesting things he discusses.. Pretty funny too..
One thing I will share with you is his secret to increasing your metabolism. You start out by thinking of the time in your life in which you were really excited and motivated about accomplishing something and how it felt. How happy you were. You need to envision it.. at the same time you hold your thumb and middle finger together applying pressure. As you are envisioning these thoughts you need to get present with them and really feel them. Once you have that feeling, then imagine yourself walking and how good it feels to walk, and imagine yourself walking the wind blowing in your hair, the air that you are breathing... think you get my drift. So now that you have this positive feeling in your mind, you continue to hold those thoughts and you are ready to go conquer the world.. It really works...
The average "fat" person walks anywhere from 2500 - 4000 steps a day.. ( hence why we are fat.. no movement.. ) The average thin person walk 8000 - 10000 steps a day ( hence why they are thin) so if you walk an average of 4000 steps a day which is what I do on a daily basis in order to increase your metabolism all you need to do is jump start and add 2000 steps a day.. How do we do that.. easy.. park your car further from the entrance to the mall, walk during television commercials, just get up and move.... so everyday I put on my pedometer, and I average 4500 steps a day... then today I pushed myself to hit 6000 and as I type this I am at 6812... I need to keep pushing myself to 10,000 so tomorrow I am aiming for 8000.
As Paul Mckenna states.. you do not need to go to a gym, just walk and walk as if you were on your way to catch a bus that is about to pull out... that will help boost your metabolism and make a difference..
So this week between journaling my food and increasing my steps I am expecting a win-win next weigh in... Considering I am going to go see mom in May.. I need to hit that 30 plus mark !!
Have a great day everyone...
